
Mlungisi Malik Mahlambi is an Executive Director of mining at BBP Mining and Projects and leads all the mining projects at BBP in South Africa and in Zimbabwe. Malik is a mining engineer with over 9 years’ exposure in the mining industry.
He has been involved in the industry at operational, planning and entrepreneurial levels with different organisations and has acquired invaluable experience in the process. He has been involved in long term planning for various commodities including gold, chrome, uranium, manganese, platinum, nickel, coal and heavy minerals. He has experience in the extraction methods of most types of deposits ranging from flat to narrow steep dipping deposits.
Malik has been involved with BBP since its early days and has contributed in developing the company. His operational and mine planning experience are the cornerstones of his input into the company. He is currently involved in the development of two mining companies in Zimbabwe. The said companies are mining chrome and gold.
He also has interests in the advancement of education within Africa and is currently involved with a non-profit organisation, Siyamukela High School Alumni.
Malik holds a BSc Engineering (Mining) degree from the University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg.
